Inclusive counting from the Moon
Learn why the Moon’s own sign is house 1, the next sign is house 2 and the previous sign is house 12.
Gochar house counting is inclusive. If natal Moon is Taurus and transiting Jupiter is Taurus, Jupiter is 1st from the Moon.
Gemini is 2nd from Taurus; Aries is 12th from Taurus.
The lab computes this sign distance directly, so retrograde motion can move a planet back into an earlier transit house without changing the counting rule.
Transit analysis begins with a natal reference. First calculate where the graha is now, then count its position from natal Moon or Lagna according to the rule being taught. A transit position by itself is not a life-event prediction.
Keep plain Gochar, Vedha, Ashtakavarga support and transit-to-natal contacts as separate layers. Combining them is a later synthesis step; the Transit Lab labels them separately to prevent accidental mixing.

- Read the transiting planet’s sidereal sign/degree.
- Count from natal Moon and Lagna.
- Check the lesson’s base Gochar rule and BAV support.
- Add natal contacts and Dasha context separately.

- A structural Sade Sati phase is not an automatic prediction.
Do not label a transit as “good/bad” from one house count while ignoring natal condition and timing context.
