3rd House
Study the 3rd house through sign, lord, occupants and aspects.
The 3rd House traditionally covers effort, courage, skills, communication, hands, short journeys and younger siblings. These are topic areas attached to the house in the interpretive system; they are not a prediction by themselves.
A house does not have one universal Rashi. The Rashi occupying it depends on the Lagna. Start by reading the Rashi number in that fixed house position, then identify the lord of that Rashi.
The house lord acts like a carrier of the house topics. Find the lord’s Rashi, house and condition. If the lord moves to another house, the two house themes become structurally connected in the reading.
Now add any grahas occupying the house and any full aspects it receives. Occupants, lord placement and aspects can support one another or pull in different directions; do not erase one layer because another looks stronger.
Finally add the relevant Varga and timing only when needed. D1 tells you the natal foundation; Vargas refine specific topics, while Dasha and Gochar help organize timing within the tradition.

- 5. List aspects received.
- 6. Add Varga and timing only after D1 is clear.
